One tropical shower per day, usually at 4 p.m. for 20 min.
Best time for Mantas in Hanifaru Bay.
Half of tourist, half or more less of price.

Always go in late May. You get 80% of the high season weather for 45% of the price. Plus, you actually see Mantas.

Friday is holiday. No trips before 2 p.m., shops are almost closed.
The Maldives are a muslimic country, stay respectful and don`t wear a bikini everywhere. There are signed bikini beaches where you can take a sun bath or go swim regularly in bikini.
NOT EVERY ISLAND IS MADE FOR HONEYMOON.
Many big islands have 200+ villas, families, kids clubs, animation around the pool. You hear children, you see other couples in your photo, your private dinner is next to 10 other tables.
A real honeymoon island is different. Small island with under 100 villas. No kids or adult-focused. Villas with private pool where nobody can look inside. Outdoor bathroom with jungle feeling. Breakfast in your villa, not in a big restaurant. Private dinner on a sandbank, just you two and the sunset. Spa for two.
